Due to several requests, we are granting a 24 hour extension to the
submission deadline for submissions to IO500 for the SC19 list.
Accordingly, the new deadline will be end of the day on November 11 AOE (in
other words, as long as there is anywhere on earth where it is not yet
November 12, submissions will be accepted).

Dear IO500 list members,
I just got a quick question since the deadline for the submission is rapidly approaching:
-I tried to submit a result for our small BeeGFS storage cluster via the web interface, and after uploading the io500.sh script and the compressed tar file containing the output files, to me it is not clear how to proceed further.
After pushing the "Submit" button, on top of the page the following appears in green:
OK: IO500 script and data appear to be correct
Now the options to put in further details appear on the webpage, which seems to work fine right until the moment when I push the lower "Submit" button on the webpage, which seemingly just generates a preview.
However, for me it is not clear whether the result has been at this stage already submitted (I got no automatically generated mail) or I still need to do something to actually submit the result.

we are in the process to finalize the agenda for the BoF and invite
members of the community to give lightning talks (5 minutes) at the
BoF where you can present findings, ideas or discuss results. If you

I've built a cluster to test the IO500 benchmark.
The preliminary results showed that the new "shift" parameter did
influence the stat result badly.
If I use "-N" parameter, the mdtest result is:
mdtest_easy_stat 1429.930 kiops : time 253.86 seconds
mdtest_hard_stat 962.500 kiops : time 191.10 seconds
If I don't use "-N" parameter, the mdtest result is:
mdtest_easy_stat 200250.000 kiops : time 1.84 seconds
mdtest_hard_stat 51038.200 kiops : time 4.47 seconds
It is clear that the "shift" parameter change will impact the stat
result with the same hardware and software configuration. Now I'm still
trying to optimize the test. Hope I'll deliver a better result later.
